October rerun: bought credits, balance still late
September had this bug. October kept the template.
Summary: On 1 Oct 2026 status.claude.com investigated delays applying purchased credits to account balances. Some API requests failed for insufficient credit. A fix was in monitoring by 18:23 UTC and marked resolved at 22:36 UTC. Console and API were affected.

What landed
On 1 Oct 2026 at 16:20 UTC, status.claude.com said it was investigating delays in credit purchases showing up in account balances. Some requests failed for insufficient credit balance.
At 18:23 UTC the credit-application issue was reported resolved and under monitoring.
Resolved at 22:36 UTC.
Affected: Claude Console (platform.claude.com) and Claude API.
This is a separate incident from the 1 Sep credit-delay window.
Why it matters
Same user-visible failure as early September: payment and refusal in the same hour. Repeat billing lag is how “add credits” stops being a recovery path.
Satire margin
A month later, the balance sheet was still fashionably late.
