What landed
On 22 Jul 2026, status.claude.com opened a service disruption affecting:
- document creation on claude.ai
- Cowork Remote
- Claude Code
- Claude Code on the Web
- Claude Tag
- Claude Design
Investigating from about 17:27 UTC, identified at 17:28 UTC, resolved by 17:45 UTC. Surfaces listed as affected: claude.ai and Claude Cowork (with Code and related tools named in the investigation note).
Same day also logged separate elevated-error incidents on multiple models; those are ordinary reliability noise. This multi-surface feature outage is the one that hits “I cannot write the doc” workflows.
Why it matters
Agent and doc surfaces are where people actually work. A short shared outage across Code, Cowork, and creation tools is more expensive per minute than a single-model blip.
Satire margin
Eighteen minutes of “everything that makes Claude feel like an office suite” offline. We respect the speed of the fix. We still filed the roll call.
