Limits go up, peak-hour haircut goes away, API Opus breathes
Nothing says 'we heard the queue' like shipping more tokens and a partnership press line.
Summary: Official raise of Claude Code 5-hour limits (2x) for Pro/Max/Team/seat Enterprise, removal of peak-hours limit reduction on Code for Pro/Max, and higher API rate limits for Opus. Related Anthropic note on higher limits and SpaceX compute.

What landed
@ClaudeDevs announced usage limits up, effective that day:
- Doubling Claude Code 5-hour limits for Pro, Max, Team, and seat-based Enterprise
- Removing peak hours limit reduction on Claude Code for Pro and Max
- Substantially raising API rate limits for Opus models
@claudeai announced a SpaceX partnership to increase compute capacity, and listed the same three limit changes (ClaudeDevs restated them and included seat-based Enterprise on the Code doubling). Anthropic linked a longer news post on limits and the partnership.
Note: the doubling is of 5-hour Code limits, not weekly limits (community replies also flagged that distinction).
Why it matters
Limit raises are good news and also a map of prior pain. Peak-hour reductions and short 5-hour caps are how “unlimited vibes” become calendar math.
Satire margin
Capacity is infinite in the demo. In production it arrives as a changelog and a rocket co-brand.
